Edublog Challenge #6- Volunteering

This week we are completing  Edublog Challenge #6 which asks us to look at organizations that we would like to help out. The organization that I have chose for this blog post is http://www.dancekids.org/ . The need of this organization is to keep the dance, music, and theater continue for this year. I would like to help them out because I know that the kids wont like it if they cant do what they like anymore and if that happened to me I would be sad so I don’t want the kids dreams to fade away.

If I volunteer I don’t want anything back I just want the kids to be happy and chase their dreams.  People can volunteer by updating your communication service. That would help out allot. I suggest you guys to support them and help them follow their dreams.

Go visit their site!- http://dancekids.org/

The Persian Wars

As a Persian soldier being in one of the biggest battles against the Greeks was a very difficult thing. We had to train mostly all of our lives until we reached a certain age. The battle was so intense that I still have the scars of my wounds. The battle against the Greeks was one of the most craziest things I have ever done. It’s an experience that I will probably never forget.

The battle smelled like dripping blood and metal knives and swords. You can also smell all the soldiers collapsing on top of each other. You could also taste the blood in your mouth. The nasty taste of sweat dripping down your forehead into your mouth. People yelling and swords flying in the air warned me to move away to a safer place and attack. Everything seemed to warn you about something in that battle it was so intense. My weapons felt sharp and heavy. I saw allot of dead bodies on the ground just laying there while everyone else stepped over them. Not many of us survived the battle but the ones that did are very lucky. That my experience from the battle I am very lucky to tell my story to this day.

My Life.

Dancing is my life

It might take to much of my time

but it’s perfectly fine

Dancing till the skies turn dark

Waiting for the special spark

Yea I said it dancing is my life.

Practice for 3 hours

Feeling full of powers

Asking just for 2 hours

Hanging out with friends

It all ends

That’s the only thing that bothers me

Even though dancing is my life

I also want to spend some time

With the people that are worth more than one dime

Dance battle!

That’ll take away an hour

I just have to get a perfect score

I’ll have to dance in the wooden floor

To convince my coach

To take away an hour

What Did I Learn This Week?

Trough out this week I learned allot of new things. One thing that I learned was how to find the area of irregular & composite figures. We have to use variables and expression describing geometric quantities. I also learned how to find the area of trapezoids. Another thing I learned was finding the area of rectangles, squares, and parallelograms. I learned that the area is the amount of space inside a flat object such as a rectangle, parallelogram, or a circle. The base of a parallelogram is the same as the length of one side. The length of a rectangular is the same as base of parallelogram. The perpendicular is the distance from the base to the opposite side. The width of a rectangular is the same as the height of a parallelogram. We also learned about Perimeter. Perimeter refers to the distance around a shape or an object. All you gotta do is add up all the sides to find your answer. That’s what I have learned for this week.

Life as a Sparta

Dear Mom & Dad,

Hey parents I’m writing to you to let you know that I am proud to be a Spartan. The Spartan government is an oligarchy. Two kings head a council of elders. The council, which included 28 citizens over age 60 , present laws to an assembly. All Spartan men over age 30 belonged to the assembly. They voted on the council’s law and chose five people to be ephors each year. The ephors enforced the law and managed tax collection. I think that is a very interesting way of choosing laws and  five people to be ephors each year. My role her in Sparta is doing sports such as running, wrestling, and throwing the javelin. It’s really fun. We have to keep fit to become healthy mothers.

Us Spartans grow up to be healthy and strong. While Athenian grow up to learn in school. My feature growing old as a Spartan will be good. I am going to have healthy fit children who will get prepare for war and to have healthy children. My children will grow up to be healthy and strong just like me and their feature dad. That’s how I will imagine my life as a Spartan in the future.

On my Facebook page I have Raul,Samantha,Eduardo,Anahi,Giovanni,Alma,Ivan,Mary,Karen,Victor,Jose,Emily,Fatima,Leslie,Maria, & much more as my friends. I like to I.M with them and talk about stuff. We can also video chat with them if we want to but we only do that sometimes. On Facebook I have (Princeton University) as my education. I am going to Princeton and I am really enjoying it here. I’m learning allot of new things that I didn’t know before. I am in my second year of college for right now. I am in a relationship right now he is in the same university as me and we love studding together. When we have time to go out we like to go dancing or just hanging out. I am planning to be an actor or a professional dancer.

I am living in New York,NY it is a really nice place to live in. I have a two story house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms I like my house allot. It might be a little to big for me but I still like it allot, there is allot of room to  have parties and bring friends over. My hobbies are Dancing, Acting, Playing Piano, & just hanging out with my friends. I am interested in learning allot more about what I love to do. I’m not sure what my friends are studding at this moment. That’s about me(:

Math :)

  • Adjacent angles-are angles that are side by side and share a common vertex and side.
  • Vertical angles- are angles are formed by two intersecting lines and a re not adjecent.
  • Vertical angles have the same measure so they are always congruent
  • Complementary angles- are two angles whose measure have a sum of 90 degrees
  • Supplementary angles- are two angles whose measure have a sum of 180 degrees
  • Finding Angle Measures- To find an unknown angle measure, first look at the two angles and decide if the angles are complementary or supplementary

Adjacent angles-are two angles that are side by side and have a common vertex and ray. Adjacent angels may or may not be congruent.

Vertical angles-are two angles that are formed by two intersecting lines and are not adjacent. Vertical angles have the same measure, so they are always congruent.

Complementary angles-are two angles whose measure have a sum of 90o

Supplementary angles- are two angles whose measure have a sum of 180o

Think and Discuss

1.Tell whether the angles in Example 1B are supplementary, complementary, or neither

My Answer:Supplementary

2.List three different terms that may apply to a pair of angles, and explain what these terms mean.

My Answer:Linear angles are two angles that are adjacent and supplementary.

3.Discuss whether two angles can be both vertical and adjacent.

My Answer:No they are not. the deffinition of vertical angle is a pair of non adjacent angles form by the intersection of two straight  lines

Today I have learned about Adjacent, Vertical, Complementary, Supplementary angles.Adjacent angles are two angles that are side by side and have a common vertex and ray. Adjacent angels may or may not be congruent.Vertical angles are two angles that are formed by two intersecting lines and are not adjacent. Vertical angles have the same measure, so they are always congruent.Complementary angles are two angles whose measure have a sum of 90. Supplementary angles are two angles whose measure have a sum of 180. That what I learned today from watching the videos.

Blog Challenge

Today I went around to visit other class/student blogs it was fun(: As part of an edublog challenge I asked 5 diffrent questions to each class/student blogs. The first blog that I visited was The Ripple Effect I think their blog is really awesome. The 2 blog I visited was  Stephany’s Blog i’m looking forward to reading more blog posts on her page.
